This Day In History

On this day back in 2010, Melanie, Philip, Daniel & Chloe are celebrating Chloe’s birthday. Later, Carly calls and asks Melanie and asks how the birthday party went. Melanie says that it got cut short, and that Chloe was hormonal, but Daniel was so excited. Melanie asks Carly if she is okay- that she sounds kind of stressed. Carly says she is just waiting for some test results for a patient, and is just worried about her patient. Melanie says that it is hard not to get close to patients. Philip walks up, and Melanie says, “Philip’s here, I gotta go Mom! I‘ll talk to you later!” Carly hangs up, but is smiling as she repeats “Mom.” Philip is distracted, and says that his conference call was a breeze. He says he has one more thing to do, and then his problems will be over. He reminds Melanie that he loves her, and leaves again. Back at home, Melanie logs into her computer. She is on St. Mary’s website. She finishes whatever she was doing, and says “That’s that.”
